Scholarship opportunities at Presby HallNew applications will be accepted beginning in the Spring of 2011.Former members of McKinley Church and Foundation have been extremely generous in their support of various efforts and projects. Two scholarships have been established to benefit students. The Ullman Scholarship is awarded by the Church Session. This scholarship has been awarded to Bianca Serrato for the 2010-11 academic year. Preference is given to those who have financial need, who are involved with social justice activities, or who are engaged in civic or volunteer activities. Academic achievement may also be used as a criteria as can involvement in the study of music or participation in organized musical groups, especially at McKinley. The Wert Scholars Fund is awarded by the Foundation. It is restricted to those who are studying for the ministry, including lay ministry. The 2010-11 Wert Scholarship recipient is Frank Migliarese, Jr. Preference is given (in this order) to students who are or have been involved with McKinley Presbyterian Church and/or Foundation, with other local Presbyterian churches, or those in the Presbytery of Southeastern Illinois. Financial need may also be used as a criteria as well as civic engagement and academic achievement. Namesake: The late Prof. Charles A.
